Extract and excerpts from the image attachment from the report "Assessment of seismic resistance of prefabricated thermosteel houses built by company KIMALL " From 6th June 2005. The aim of this study was to assess the seismic resistance of prefabricated thermosteel houses built by KIMALL company.
Evaluation results:
House as a whole unit has shown resilience to withstand seismic loads corresponding to category 1 and ground A and the subsoil D according to STN P ENV 1998-1-1. In accordance with standard i tis possible to establish, that a house prefabricated out of Topkimall, satisfies to the seismic loads for zone 1 and ground category A and D. Supporting structure is lightweight and flexible, therefore it behaves very well during seismic loads. Although there is no violation of the structure, cracks are formed in the plasterboard connectors. Examined seismic zone is a region with worst seismic load occurring in Slovakia and it corresponds to 8 ° MSK-64 (corresponding to min. 8 ° Richter scale).
